Hi everyone!

I am now on holiday. I just graduated from the Royal Junior Primary school this September.

I want to share with you my day yesterday: I woke up early in the morning and spent some hours helping with chores at the orphanage. I then went with everyone else to Moshi town, particularly to ISM (International School Moshi, where Revo goes). There, we were warmly welcome by the students. We got to know then and introduce ourselves to them and then fun started. We went swimming at the school swimming pool, played football and basketball. We then had a picnic! After that, we watched some videos together after which we swung at the playground.  Late that day, we said our goodbyes and left for the orphanage.

My name is Christopher. I am with Courtney at the MAD guest house. She is helping me with my blog. Today we will be watching movies. I am spending the night today and tomorrow we are riding bicycles.Today I enjoyed swimming at Marangu waterfall. It was fun. It was a school trip. My favorite part was in the cave because I like the story of the cave. The story says that during colonialism Chaggas and the Masai were hiding themselves in the caves in order to not be killed. They would hide their wives and children and animals here, and go to the war. In the fifteenth century, one mother called Makinuka became pregnant without being married. Her mother was the first to see her and her mother shouted “Oh god! Oh god! My daughter became pregnant without being married. People will kill her! People will kill her!” Her daughter decided to go to the waterfall. When she got there she started thinking and then she decided to go home and beg for forgiveness. But when she wanted to go home, she saw a leopard in front of her so she walked backward. She fell off of the waterfall and died.

My friend’s name is Bilali. He is in standard seven and is thirteen years old. I met him at school. We like to play football. He lives in Uchira. He likes to ride bikes. He father is a police officer and his mother is a farmer.

Hi, Christopher. My name is Marie and I am a friend of Courtney’s. I just read your blog and found it to be very interesting. Sounds like you are a great student and have goals, which is a great thing for a boy your age. You mentioned you were now on holidays, does that mean no school for awhile? How long is your holiday and do you have fun plans? Keep up the good work and keep blogging!

Hi Christopher, It was so good to meet you and spend time with you when I visited last month. I think of all of you every day. It’s good to see your grades. I noticed lots of improvements from the first to second term. Nice job! I also enjoyed the trip Debbie and I made to the Chagga caves and waterfall. I found the history fascinating and the waterfall beautiful. I didn’t know you enjoyed the guitar… maybe you’ll play something for me when I return next winter. Keep up the great work!
